ในสภาวะโลกปัจจุบัน สิ่งต่างๆ เกิดขึ้นและเปลี่ยนแปลงไปอย่างรวดเร็ว ภัยพิบัติก็เป็นอีกหนึ่งสิ่งที่นับวันจะทวีความรุนแรง และเกิดบ่อยครั้งมากขึ้นเรื่อยๆ ส่งผลให้เกิดความสูญเสียในหลายด้าน ทั้งทางด้านร่างกาย จิตใจ เศรษฐกิจ สังคม สิ่งแวดล้อม รวมถึงวิถีชีวิตความเป็นอยู่ และบ้านเรือน
โครงการ 'บ้านพอดี พอดี' นี้มีจุดเริ่มต้นในช่วงเหตุการณ์มหาอุทกภัยเมื่อปี 2554 ซึ่งนับเป็นภัยพิบัติครั้งใหญ่ที่ทำให้ใครหลายคนต้องพลัดพรากจากบ้านที่อยู่อาศัย ไปพักพิงตามศูนย์อพยพต่างๆ โดยคำว่า 'พอดี พอดี' เป็นชื่อของเด็กชายคนหนึ่ง ที่ตั้งโดยท่าน ป.โยนโสปนฺโน เจ้าอาวาสแห่งวัดเขาพุทธโคดม จังหวัดชลบุรี ซึ่งชื่อนี้ได้กลายมาเป็นแรงบันดาลใจสำคัญ ที่ทำให้เกิดการร่วมมือกันจากหลายภาคส่วน ในการที่จะสร้างสรรค์สิ่งดีๆ ให้แก่สังคม จนกระทั่งได้กลายมาเป็นโครงการ 'บ้านพอดี พอดี' ในที่สุด
'บ้านพอดี พอดี' ได้เกิดขึ้นจากความตั้งใจที่จะส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้ ความคิด ประสบการณ์ และการร่วมมือกันระหว่างผู้ผลิตและจำหน่ายวัสดุก่อสร้าง สถาปนิก วิศวกร นักออกแบบ ศิลปิน ผู้รับเหมาก่อสร้าง ช่างก่อสร้าง นิสิตนักศึกษา รวมถึงประชาชนทั่วไป ที่เล็งเห็นถึงปัญหาการไร้ที่อยู่อาศัยในยามเกิดภัยพิบัติ โดยมุ่งเน้นการออกแบบ และพัฒนา 'บ้าน' ที่มีความเรียบง่าย และสะดวกต่อการก่อสร้างภายในเวลาอันสั้น ด้วยงบประมาณที่ประหยัด โดยมีการใช้วัสดุทุกชิ้นอย่างคุ้มค่าให้เกิดประโยชน์สูงสุด และเหลือเศษวัสดุน้อยที่สุด อีกทั้งยังสามารถนำวัสดุเหลือใช้ที่มีอยู่เดิมมาประกอบร่วมกันตามความชอบและงบประมาณ เกิดเป็นบ้านที่มีเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะตัว เหมาะกับบริบทของพื้นที่ ให้ความรู้สึกอบอุ่นอยู่สบาย โดยมีพื้นที่ใช้สอยที่ลงตัว ตอบรับกับความต้องการพื้นฐานของผู้อยู่อาศัยอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ
โดยในเบื้องต้นทางโครงการได้รับอนุญาตจาก พระอาจารย์มหาตอง ธมฺมวุฑฺโฒ เจ้าอาวาสวัดป่าวชิรบรรพต จังหวัดชลบุรี ให้ใช้พื้นที่ของวัดในการสร้างต้นแบบบ้านพอดี พอดี ซึ่งหลังจากสร้างเสร็จ ทางโครงการก็ได้มอบบ้านหลังนี้ให้กับทางวัด เพื่อนำไปใช้เป็นสาธารณะประโยชน์ต่อไป
แบบบ้านพอดี พอดีนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อแจกจ่ายสำหรับประชาชน โดยมุ่งเน้นให้ความช่วยเหลือแก่ผู้ไร้ที่อยู่อาศัยในช่วงประสบภัยพิบัติ รวมถึงประชาชนทั่วไปที่มีข้อจำกัดในด้านงบประมาณในการก่อสร้างในยามปกติ ซึ่งนับเป็นอีกหนึ่งก้าวสำคัญของการพัฒนาวงการสถาปัตยกรรมและการก่อสร้างไทย
ทางทีมงานผู้จัดทำโครงการหวังเป็นอย่างยิ่งว่า 'บ้านพอดี พอดี' นี้จะได้รับการพัฒนาต่อยอดอย่างจริงจังและต่อเนื่อง เพื่อให้เกิดเป็นบ้านที่มีคุณภาพ คงทน แข็งแรง ที่ปรับตัวเข้ากับบริบทและสถานการณ์ต่างๆ เป็นบ้านแห่งความรัก ความสุข และความอบอุ่น
บนพื้นฐานแห่งความพอเพียง สำหรับคนไทยอย่างยั่งยืนต่อไป
In today's world, things happen and change rapidly. Disaster is another incidence increasing day by day and occurring more and more frequently. Resulting in losses in many aspects both physically, mentally, economically, socially, and environmentally, including the way of life and accommodation.
The project 'Pordee Pordee House' started during the 2011 flood, a major disaster that forced many people to leave their homes toward shelters in various evacuation centers. Initially, 'Pordee Pordee' was a boy's name, meaning modest. It was entitled by Por Yonasopanno, the abbot of Khao Phutthakodom Temple, Chonburi. Then, this name became an essential inspiration that ignited cooperation from many sectors to create good things for society. Later, it eventually became the 'Pordee Pordee House' project.
'Pordee Pordee House' was born out of the intention to promote the exchange of knowledge, ideas, experiences, and collaboration between manufacturers and suppliers of building materials, architects, engineers, designers, artists, contractors, builders, students, including the general public. Those who foresee the problem of homelessness in times of disasters. The core ideas are the design and development of a 'home' that is simple and convenient for construction quickly. With an economical budget, making every material worthwhile and leaving the least waste material. The house can also uniquely combine existing materials according to the homeowners' preferences and budget, giving a warm and comfortable feeling with the perfect living space. 'Pordee Pordee House' is intended to effectively respond to residents' basic needs.
Initially, the project received permission from Phra Ajarn Mahatong Thammawut, the Abbot of Wat Pa Wachirabanphot, Chonburi, to construct the house mockup in the temple's area. It was later used for the public.
The purpose of 'Pordee Pordee House' is to distribute for the people, focusing on providing assistance to the homeless during disasters, including the general public who have limitations in the construction budget during normal times. This is another vital step in developing architecture and construction in Thailand.
The project creator team sincerely hopes that this 'Pordee Pordee House' will be developed rigorously and continuously. To create a quality, durable, substantial home that adapts to various contexts and situations. It is a home of love, happiness, and warmth based on sustainable sufficiency for Thai people.
